PayPal Instructions

We are continuing to get many members buying parts and renewing membership without using a ‘Friends & Family’ payment.

What is ‘Friends & Family‘

When you make a payment to a commercial company, PayPal will deduct a transaction fee from your payment.
The company will receive 1.2% to about 3% less depending on the type of payment and the country you are sending from.
To make it more appealing to more people PayPal have introduced ‘Friend & Family’ with no transaction fee.
Although it may seem a small percentage, if all membership and parts sold did not use F&F then it runs into hundreds of pounds over 1 year.

How to make a payment with ‘Friends & Family‘

PayPal have changed their homepage again so here is an updated instruction.
Open paypal.com
Use your email address and password to login.
You should then see your name and current balance at the top left.
Click on ‘send money’
Type in funds@fivestars.co.uk
Click on £0.00
Type in the amount you want to pay us.
Click ‘What is this for’ and enter the reason you are paying us
this is so we know what to send you or update our database for your subscription.
Click next
Click ‘Friends & Family’
Click ‘Continue’
Click ‘Send’
We will then get the full amount without paying PayPal fees.
